Taurus April 21 - May 21
Books:
The Taurean takes to thrillers, for he has the patience
to plod through them. While some people need to read
the last page first, you can wait to reach the climactic
end of an Agatha Christie book. Your reading will
also accommodate masters like Tolstoy and Dickens
with great ease.
Chocolates:
The Bull is selfish with chocolates. Of course, you
will get a few morsels, but not until he has had his
share.
Movies:
The Bull is not the one to take to racy thrillers.
He is patient, but the film has to be rewarding enough.
Epic films that bring the viewer laughter, tears and
beautiful scenery top the list. Mel Gibson
in Braveheart, Cate Blanchett in Elizabeth and Elizabeth
Taylor in Cleopatra all fit the bill.
Music:
Steady and solid, the Bull isn't inclined to listen
to anything harsh or grating, but would rather have
background music that sets the mood. Old romantic
numbers are likely to find a place in your music rack.
"Soothing" is your watchword, when you choose music.
Restaurants:
You would love to have a full-fledged, three-course
meal, so nothing less than the best for you. You don't
mind a good five-star hotel meal burning a hole in
the pocket. Surely, dessert will be one of the three
courses, as you have quite a sweet tooth.
Sports:
The brawny Bull has endurance and stamina galore,
which would best be put toward sports like rowing,
weight lifting, tug-of-war, rugby, gardening or cricket.
>Television:
The Bull loves melodrama. You would probably have
watched every episode of the longest running soap
opera on television. Epics intrigue you, and you don't
lose your interest, as the episodes lose lustre.
Pets:
If you have a Taurus pet, you had better be prepared
for it snoozing all the time. Laziness is this animal's
second name. Make a good bed for your pet. Better
still, throw in generous doses of tender loving care.
These animals love to eat, so ensure that there is
food around all the time. The Taurus pet also loves
to be touched, so make sure you are generous with
those hugs and caresses.
If you expect your Taurus dog to fetch a stick, forget
it. These animals are very lethargic, so a walk in
the backyard is the most they can do. Lounging around
is the name of their game.
You should be thankful that these animals don't talk.
If they could, they would probably wind you round
their little fingers. The Taurus pet sure is an obstinate
one!
But you would be glad that the Taurus pet is faithful,
and is highly unlikely to run away. Since they like
to eat so much, keep an eye on your pet to ensure
they don't get too fat.
Lastly, this tolerant and gentle pet makes for a great
companion for kids.
Gifts:
The key word to think of when getting your Taurean
loved one a gift is 'luxury'. Taureans enjoy the good
things in life, be they financial or physical, earthly
sensual. A rejuvenating massage will do him a
world of good. The Bull also revels in beauty and
fine art, so tickets to the newest play in town be appreciated. Taurus rules the neck and the throat,
so pamper your Taurean loved one with necklaces and
earrings. The Bull also has a yen for investments,
so a gift of stocks and bonds would do him good.
Great gifts:
Aftershave, cologne, chocolates, stocks or bonds,
a wallet, a shaving kit, a plant, tickets to a new
play, a gift certificate to a gourmet restaurant,
a fine tie, a top-of-the-line stereo system, a leather
jacket, a nice bottle of wine, gardening equipment.
