You, the employee

You are a gem of an employee and will be treasured for a long time. Your employer will let go of you rather reluctantly. You are uncomfortable with moving up the ladder too quickly, and would rather prefer a gradual approach. You value your work, but you are also conscious of appreciation and recognition. You do not hesitate to move on if you feel the policies are unreasonable. You project the image of being selfless, but know where to draw the line.

You are a certified workaholic. You have an innate fear of being feeble and dependent, and this is what drives you ahead. You have a perfect eye for detail, but sometimes, it can get too perfect to be comfortable. You value perfection more than titles. But you do not hesitate to turn on the charm when really needed.

You soon find that people bank on your strong analytical skills to sort out a problem. Your powers of discrimination are excellent, and you can sense if there is a right solution in sight.

Your sense of ethics is strong, and you are comfortable working without supervision. You detest short cuts, and would spend hours splitting hairs over a logical solution. You are slow, but sure.

You, the boss

You do not have the drive to be the high-powered executive who makes the policy decisions. Very few Virgos are comfortable in positions of authority. You are most comfortable being behind the scenes, running the company like a well-oiled machine. You are good at carrying out the original ideas of others. You hardly waste your emotions, and are uncomfortable being a listening post for troubles. You are also ill-at ease with praise. You simply cannot fire orders at subordinates. You are uneasy with wearing many hats at the same time. That is what makes you such a reluctant boss. You are excellent at piecing parts of a problem, but miss the whole issue completely. You make a few bad decisions this way. You are needed to pull a few punches when needed. But you call a spade a spade, and your much-needed diplomacy surfaces. You sometimes make decisions in self-defence and fail to cover up for it. Deception does not become you, and you end up being accused of being sly and hypocritical. You eventually do some soul-searching, and realise that you are better off running the machinery, rather than being a part of it. But while you are at it, you are generous with the criticism. Once your employees will soon see through your perfectionist façade, and discover a kindhearted boss.

You, the colleague

Well, one thing which will work in your favour is your ability to make intelligent conversation. You will never run out of topics to discuss, and this will prove to be a great intellectual stimulant. This will ensure that you seek people out, provided you don’t indulge in a round of nit-picking every time you meet. Let your critical attitude take a backseat from time to time. You need it.

Careers and you

Need a quick fix? Then you would probably be called. You simply love to analyse and bat things around and are bound to come up with some answers. You are a talker and a helper and like to facilitate solutions as a service to others. Even so, you crave independence and a space of your own, so not all your cards will be laid on the table -- some things are best kept private.
